NILS Bootcamp - Get Your Mind AND Body PUMPED! 6:30am -7:30am (High School Fitness Center) - Taught by Nicholas DiAntonio, program director and adult boot camp coach for Natick Summer Strength and Conditioning, this session will get you up and ready for the day. Incorporating movements with kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, Echo Bikes, and even your own body, this session will incorporate aspects of High Intensity Interval Training to push you throughout the hour session. Beginning with a dynamic warm-up, the session will then progress into a thirty minute HIIT training session before ultimately concluding with a cool-down/core/abdominal session. For those members of our staff who took part in the summer boot camp workouts, this session will closely mirror the format of those sessions. The Locker Rooms will be available for showers after the conclusion of the session before the start of the day!

Relax and unwind before a morning of learning.  You will stretch your body and mind as I guide you through a series of poses meant to loosen and center yourselves.  You will learn breathing techniques to bring back to your students, families, coworkers, and most of all yourselves to use during times of dysregulation.  Please bring a mat (I'll have a few extra) and wear comfy clothes.  I hope you will join me on the mat.

Starting with a focus on the breath and ending with a light meditation, this vinyasa yoga flow will rejuvenate both mind and body. Taught by an E-RYT (a registered yoga teacher with over 1000 hours of instruction), this session is right for beginners to masters and all in between. Vinyasa is a dynamic, flowing style of yoga, so be ready to move! Wear comfortable/athletic clothing and be sure to bring a yoga mat.

Fundamentals of Self-Defense Taught by Joe Guidice (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt) and Nicholas DiAntonio (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt), this 35-minute seminar will focus on the basics of self-defense. Beginning with a 5-10 minute warm-up on the mats, the focus will then shift to self-defense instruction centered on: 1) Creating space between you and your attacker, 2) Basic takedown mechanics should an altercation escalate, and finally 3) A few basic submissions to allow for you to subdue your attacker in order to provide a means of getting away from the situation. No experience is necessary, and this session will take place on the wrestling mats in the back quadrant of the high school gymnasium. Wear comfortable clothing - tee-shirts and gym shorts!

We’ll use Google Sheets to estimate retirement savings based on contribution rates and returns, as well as calculating feasible scenarios where one may retire before reaching the maximum 80% pension benefit level.  This workshop may also help those on Tier 2 of the MTRS pension plan who reach 80% before turning 60 years old.
